HOME

Here at last. It's been an awfully long wait, but I think we've struck gold. Our house feels like home, the community is friendly and welcoming, and the yard with its view is everything we wanted. Lots of work ahead in repairs and redecorating (slowly), gardening and chicks ... but this is also what we (crazily, you may say) consider "entertainment", so we're just as happy as pigs in—well, you get the gist.

And though it's all pretty much still unorganized and in boxes, my shop is now finally all under one roof, and actually all in one room! So if you're in need of anything, just let me know! And if you're ever around Summerville, NS, come for a visit!

UPDATE

We're all set for moving next week. From May 12th to May 15th, there will be intermittent phone and email answering. From May 15th to the 19th, there will be no service, and after May 19th we'll be all hooked up again and ready to go. My phone number has to change again, but the current one will forward there for quite some time, so there shouldn't be too many problems on that score. There won't be any change to my email, other than me re-wrangling to go back on dial-up. Oh! I forgot to mention the news! Apparently our community is slated for high-speed by the end of 2009. So I think I can handle dial-up again, knowing that an end will be in sight. (After all my pathetic whining.)

Got my project for Twist out the door ... just have to fine-tune the directions and get them sent before the computer gets unplugged. Sneak preview:

Sorry, that's as much as I can show, or else I give it all away!

And the rest is all packing. (Even though we've been living out of boxes for almost 8 months (!), it's amazing how much really isn't in them, but is rather all over the place.) Well, actually, there are plans for a breakfast and lunch made by my little `uns, and dinner out on Sunday for Mother's Day. Can't wait. Hoping all the rain exhausts itself while we're prepping and fine-dining, and then the sun shines for the actual moving! See you on the other side (of the Avon)!

And Happy Mother's Day to all you fabulous moms ... especially to you, Mom, if you're reading!! Love ya!
